My work celebrates images of women standing in, emerging from, or swimming through, water. They’re strong, beautiful, and rendered in unique poses so women can confidently celebrate freedom, and live braver lives. Through vibrant colours, drips, and splashes of paint and thread, I evoke a liberating space where my women are free from restraint and free to be who they want to be. My source underwater photographs were taken whilst on a photo shoot to beautiful Bitter Springs - my model is my daughter Haylee Inkster - and my exhibition is named after a line in Jeannie Gunn’s “We of the Never Never”.
