As a profession, art therapy is still very white, western and colonial. As an art therapist from a non-white and non-western background, Eva examines trauma and healing from a different perspective. She explores the power of art and storytelling to critique the toxic systems that are making us unwell as a collective. She imagines a reconnection to nature-culture as alternative sites of power to reclaim healing centered on our identity.

Eva is an art therapist with a Malaysian Chinese background. Her diasporic and multicultural background offers her a unique vantage point to critique the dominant culture.
