Carly Gilera | Lines of Life

Lines of Life, a solo exhibition by Carly Gilera

Without life, there can be no decay; without decay, no life. From the ground up, our bodies mirror the world around us — shaped by both nature and nurture. We live, give, transform, and ultimately return to the earth. Decay becomes the final process of release, reducing the body until only bone remains.

Lines of Life explores the inevitability of this cycle and the shared fate that unites us all. No matter how far we travel in our personal journeys, we are always drawn back to the earth from which we came. Life, death, and the space in between exist in constant coexistence.
