The Northern Territory Art Award, led by Darwin Visual Arts, was established in 2024 to showcase the depth, diversity, and brilliance of Northern Territory artists. Held every two years, the Award is open to artists and creatives across the Northern Territory.

In 2026, the Award expands in partnership with Charles Darwin University, with the finalists exhibition held at the the stunning new Midpul Gallery in the heart of the Darwin CBD. Winners will be awarded across 4 categories, including people's choice, with a total prize pool of $10,000 available.
