HIBERNATE 2024 Members Exhibition

Hibernate | Exploring the Art of Nesting and Manifestation

As we step into the dawn of a New Year, we invite our talented members to embark on a creative journey with our Member exhibition theme... "Hibernate."

Hibernate beckons artists of all mediums to explore the profound concept of nesting, incubating, and going internal. This theme offers a canvas for artistic expressions that delves into the intriguing world of hibernation, drawing inspiration from the natural tendencies of creatures and animals. We encourage you to interpret Hibernate in different ways. This theme challenges us to contemplate the significance of hibernation in human nature — a time for a reset, a departure from the relentless hustle of everyday life.

Consider the intricate patterns of natural hibernation, the cocooning process, and the transformative journey within. How does hibernation manifest in the human experience? Is it a form of hermit behaviour, a retreat into solitude, or a profound act of self-care? The possibilities are as diverse as the artists who embrace this theme.
