That feeling when you see a piece and it speaks to you. Jeannie Bennett and Jim Bamber both grew up in the Territory. Both create with the aim of functional ceramics. Jeannie is exhibiting colourful, quirky ceramic pothead pieces. Jeannie’s use of bright underglazes and floral embellishment bring the pieces to life. Jim builds detailed scenes from Old Darwin such as Chinese New Year and Cyclone Tracy and other events that resonate. Lately Jim has been experimenting with a fusion of wire and ceramics such as his Tour De France tableau.
