Calibrating Parameters | Jose Patalinghug

“The inherent drive that defines parameters also holds the potential to transcend them.”

With a focus rooted in deep connection with the source material, José creates immersive paintings that exude gentle tones and framed reveries. He retains the original inspiration for each work, allowing it to evolve into a new narrative - a fitting prelude to his language of strictness & extravagance.

Curated by: Rhea Ornias Tan

Jose engages in daily rituals of challenging the medium, exploring the parameters of his vision and the potential of his experience. His practice of restraint creates an indelible ripple in his works, which also serves as a form of catharsis, allowing empathy to find expression.
